Paul Linklater is a guitarist, songwriter, and recorder. He lives in toronto but, happily, isn't married to it. He has led several bands, some in Manitoba, where he was born, and some in Toronto. He used many Tascam four-tracks before moving over to computer. His style is to have different genre signifiers for each song "just like all the great bands used to do," he exclaimed recently. He has recorded several albums with friends and has a new one made entirely on his own. He performs solo and in groups. He quit smoking and put the money toward more guitars and studio resources. He likes structure but, happily, isn't married to it. He is engaged with rock history but, again, isn't married to it.
